Fall is officially here, the leaves have turned and lay scattered across the ground, and the mornings are cool and brisk. At least here in Montreal. And every year, with the arrival of the cooler weather comes my desire to light the oven and bake sweet treats.

Apple & Cinnamon Cupcakes
The latest edition in our round-up of fall desserts. Apple and Cinnamon Cupcakes. Basically apple pie, in cupcake form. I think we should aspire to transform more desserts into cupcakes. What do you think? They’re perfect individual portions. Nothing to slice, just a simple grab and go. Great for parties and definitely kid approved. Not…
Pumpkin-Chocolate Chip Muffins
You guys, I have to tell you how proud of myself I am. One, these muffins are delicious. But two, and more importantly, I waited until October before I started bombarding you guys with pumpkin recipes. There are rules in the blogosphere, kind of like how you can’t wear white after labor day. But we’re…
Gluten-Free Banana Bread
Banana bread is one of those basic recipes everyone should have in their arsenal. It should be considered part of the basics, right up there with boiling water and cooking rice. Ironically I couldn’t cook a pot of rice if life depended on it… thank god for the rice cooker… But back to banana bread!…
Cranberry Orange Loaf
Coming off of the holidays, I’m finding myself with fridges and freezers that are overflowing with produce and left-overs. Determined to cheer up that gray gloomy day, I spotted the silicone muffin tray in…
Raspberry – Oat Crumb Muffins
If there is one thing that has been extremely abundant this summer; it’s the garden’s raspberry production. They just keep coming. I’ve been throwing them into just about everything over the past month, and the freezer is completely stocked with bag upon bag. We’ve also been giving them away to family members, after all who…
Coconut-Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
Personally I think its really hard to make a bad banana bread. Pretty much anything goes in terms of add-ins; chocolate, nuts, fruit, etc. So as I was preparing my bags for my second trip down to South Africa last Friday, I noticed the bunch of bananas sitting in the fruit bowl on the dinning…
Babba what??
“No, not Babba, Babka. Chocolate Babka.” I explained to my guests as they sat down for our Holiday Brunch. What is Chocolate Babka you ask?? In a word, divine!
Chocolate & Peanut Butter, together again…
I know, I know… Another chocolate peanut butter post… What can I say, we just happen to love that flavor combo. Its actually quite scary the amount of peanut butter we go through, it seems to find its way into pretty much anything…
