Fall is officially here, the leaves have turned and lay scattered across the ground, and the mornings are cool and brisk. At least here in Montreal. And every year, with the arrival of the cooler weather comes my desire to light the oven and bake sweet treats.

Snickerdoodles
Day 3: Snickerdoodles The 12 Days of Vegan Christmas Cookies I love these Snickerdoodles. Clearly I have an obsession with multiple types of Christmas cookies. Warm from the oven, still soft, and cinnamon wafting through the air… mmmm… heaven! While Santa would probably like any of the cookies on your platter, I feel like the…
Apple-Pumpkin Crisp
Pumpkin-Apple Crisp Vegan, Gluten-Free, Refined Sugar-Free Guys, it’s getting cold… Which means more baking to warm up the house. You guys do that too, right? I feel like the fall months are constant struggle between everything apple, or everything pumpkin spice. There may be other fall flavors, but in my mind these are the only…
Apple & Cinnamon Cupcakes
The latest edition in our round-up of fall desserts. Apple and Cinnamon Cupcakes. Basically apple pie, in cupcake form. I think we should aspire to transform more desserts into cupcakes. What do you think? They’re perfect individual portions. Nothing to slice, just a simple grab and go. Great for parties and definitely kid approved. Not…
Pumpkin-Chocolate Chip Muffins
You guys, I have to tell you how proud of myself I am. One, these muffins are delicious. But two, and more importantly, I waited until October before I started bombarding you guys with pumpkin recipes. There are rules in the blogosphere, kind of like how you can’t wear white after labor day. But we’re…
Gluten-Free Banana Bread

Holiday Nog
It really doesn’t feel like the holidays without eggnog. Whether its for sipping while decorating the tree and blasting Christmas music, toasting at a holiday party, or for gulping down at 3am when you sneak out of bed for the leftover gingerbread cookies (which has never happened by the way).
Pumpkin Muffins with Cream Cheese Filling
Yup, another pumpkin recipe. I know, I really should be concentrating on holiday cookies now, but as I woke the other morning to a blanket of white snow covering the yard and roof tops, i decided I just wasn’t ready. Determined to cheer up that gray gloomy day, I spotted the silicone muffin tray in…
Pumpkin Cake with Spiced Cream Cheese Frosting and Candied Pecans
It’s hard to resist pumpkin desserts this time of year. Starting off with Canadian Thanksgiving, followed by Halloween, and American Thanksgiving pumpkin and pumpkin spice goods are everywhere. When looking for a dessert to bring to a dinner party, the temptation to make something pumpkin-y was overwhelming. I caved and surrendered myself to the cliché…
